Redie has build the interior for the second branch of the Tex-Mex restaurant Texican, located on the first floor of the busy Zuidplein shopping center in Rotterdam.

One of the challenges of this interior project was the transportation of the components to the hospitality location. For this, Redie opted for vertical transport from the side, from the bustling bus square to the first floor of the shopping center. Redie has extensive experience in transport to unique locations, gained from previous projects such as train stations, platforms, busy shopping areas, and high-rise buildings. Situations are explored in advance to choose the appropriate method of transport.

The interior design of the Texican restaurant (created by Horeca Sfeermakers) has been meticulously detailed, with the pattern of the open-frame design on the benches also reflected in the bar and walls. The countertop of the bar is made from a beautifully matching composite stone in a terracotta color that complements the oak base finished with oil. The installed partition walls resemble train compartments, creating a more intimate atmosphere for guests. Neon and LED lighting add a playful and edgy character to the space, while the large mural immediately transports you to Mexico. The imposing image of the Gringo with his large Mexican hat behind the bar further contributes to this ambiance, making you truly feel like you’re in Mexico. The design is rich in combinations of bright colors and beautiful materials.

This second location of Texican is situated near Ahoy and is ideal for both business and private guests. The owners, Fouad Taalat and Hoeman Saeidi, already have plans for more locations, and we can't wait to see them!
