Beach Restaurant hito

Scheveningen, The Netherlands

For beach house / restaurant hito in Scheveningen Redie delivered the fixed bespoke interior.
The restaurant is a yearround beach pavilion with a Basque kitchen, where quality and sustainability are centralpresent in every detail, without excess.

The interior, designed by Koelhuis Frigo, is light, minimalist  and thoughtfully detailed throughout.
In close collaboration with client Steven Visser and manager Koen Ververs, we translated this design into a buildable and highly functional whole.

A key element of the interior is the use of Iroko wood, applied in, among others: the bespoke locker wall, the bar, DJ booth and various cabinet elements.
This wood adds warmth to the clean lines and withstands the changing coastal conditions. Combined with tiles imported from Spain, it gives the interior a distinctive signature.

The bar forms the central focal point of the beach house and also serves the terrace through large lift and slide windows. In addition, a private dining room was created that can be fully enclosed, while the lounge around the tunnel fireplace offers comfort during the winter months.

The project was developed in phases: from engineering and preparation in our workshop to on-site installation. This approach allowed us to work efficiently without compromising on finish or planning.

With Hito Scheveningen, a beach house has been realized that is functional, well-considered, and technically robust—exactly the way we like to build.
